About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Manufacturing Estimating Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for new projects, supporting the Sales and Marketing teams with competitive quotations, and ensuring smooth project execution through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. This is a key position that involves direct engagement with customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare pricing estimates and customer-ready quotations
  • Lead project kickoffs and post-project reviews
  • Collaborate with customers on design improvements and manufacturability
  • Analyze 3D CAD models and mechanical drawings to determine cost-effective manufacturing methods
  • Develop cost estimates for tooling, stamped parts, machined components, and assemblies
  • Support Sales with technical input and re-quoting efforts
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure cost-effective production solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and processes
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of two years of college or a technical degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, including exposure to Tool & Die or Die Design
  • Strong understanding of metal stamping and die construction
  • Proficient in Excel and estimating software
  • Skilled in interpreting 3D CAD files and mechanical drawings
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Journeyman Tool & Die certification is a plus
