Lead Heavy Equipment Operator

We are looking for a Lead Equipment Operator to join the team at JED Landfill in Saint Cloud, Florida . Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Perform general labor duties around Landfill

  n

• n

  Work in all weather conditions

  n
n
• n

  Executes precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company and OSHA standards and regulations.

• n

  Will be required to operate various equipment; compactors, dozers, graders, tractors, backhoes, front-end loaders, dump trucks, etc. as needed.

• n

  Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with the company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.

  n

• n

  Assists in overseeing personnel needs of the site including coaching, training and evaluating employee performance.

  n

• n

  Assigning employees and equipment to facilitate task completion

  n
n
• n

  Interacts with Landfill customers to ensure customer satisfaction and improve efficiency

• n

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.
n

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

n

  Must have 2+ years of heavy equipment operator experience

  n
n
• n

  Must have valid Driver's License

  n
n
• n

  Must be able to Read and Write

  n
n
• n

  Requires basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide

  n
n
• n

  Must have basic computer skills to email and scan documents

  n
n
• n

  Will be required to analyze a repeating situation and make basic decisions

  n
n
• n

  Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly

  n
n
• n
