Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking experienced Laborer / Heavy Machine Operator Austin, TX construction projects. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.

The backhoe operator is responsible for operating the backhoe equipment to excavate ditches and structures, lay pipe and precast concrete structures, carry material in the loader bucket, and general excavation and backfill work.

Responsibilities

• n

  Perform Basic General Labor Duties, as well as occasionally operate heavy machinery.

  n

• n

  Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections

  n
n
• n

  Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  n
n
• n

  Participate as a vital team member, contributing towards Austin's success

  n
n
• n

  Attend daily safety meetings

  n
n
• n

  Follow safety policies and procedures

  n
n
• n

  Work hours adjusted to meet the project's needs; days, nights and weekends

  n
n
• n

  Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures

  n

• n

  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

n

• n

  1+ years of experience operating a backhoe

  n
n
• n

  Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety

  n
n
• n

  Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.

  n

• n
