Description: You will be the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Associate Manager for the ESH team with Missiles and Fire Control. Our team is responsible for managing the interpretations, recommendations, and compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies.
nWhat You Will Be Doing
nAs the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Associate Manager, you will have a heavy emphasis on environmental compliance. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting other ESH program activities, program management, and overall actions associated with managing the interpretations, recommendations, and compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies.
nYour responsibilities will include:
n• Provide direction and support daily operations
nfor the Environmental Waste Technicians (hourly/
nnon-exempt) at the facility.
n• Gain knowledge and understanding of the
nDallas site UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement
n(CBA) requirements.
n• Monitor attendance and performance of the
nEnvironmental Waste Technicians to ensure CBA
nrequirements are met and follow through on any
ndisciplinary actions to mitigate any issues.
n• Gain access to the hourly timekeeping system
nof record (e.g. Apriso) to perform weekly review
nand approval of timecards.
n• Direct, manage, and evaluate contracts which support the
nESH organization, including properly licensed
nhazardous waste firms, environmental
nassessments and permitting, and emergency
nresponse activities.
n• Promote the ESH culture by driving various
nESH performance improvement initiatives and
nemployee engagement activities.
n• Assure compliance with applicable ESH
nregulatory federal, state and local agencies (e.g.
nEPA, TCEQ, City of Grand Prairie) corporate, and
ncustomer requirements.
n• Directs the assistance in planning for changes
nin physical facilities to meet new environmental
nrequirements.
n• Manages the preparation of environmental
nimpact statements and applications for all new
npermits and renewals.
n• Organizes and equips spill-control teams.
n• Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, work assignments (e.g. HAZWOPER, RCRA and DOT) and recognition/disciplinary actions.

nMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
nBasic Qualifications:
n• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or ESH-related discipline with at least 5 years' professional expertise in an industrial environment.
n• Demonstrated readiness to take on leadership responsibilities, with a focus on developing and growing as a leader in their career.
n• Understanding of union environments and collective bargaining agreements.
n• Proficient in reporting and accounting tools used at the site, such as SAP and Lockheed Martin developed systems.
n• Experience reporting to and interfacing with State and Federal environmental and safety regulatory agencies.
n• Experience developing and maintaining environmental, safety and health programs in compliance with key regulations.
n• Proficient with computer-based tools and applications (Microsoft Office business programs).
n• Ability to obtain and hold a government secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
nDesired Skills:
n• Previously demonstrated leadership experience
nof a small group or team.
n• Previous experience reporting to and interfacing with Texas environmental and safety regulatory agencies. Examples - TCEQ.
n• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely,
nboth orally and in writing, across levels of the
norganization.
n• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve
ncomplex issues and influence ESH cultural
nimprovement.
n• Previous experience planning and allocating
ntasks and workload across a team.
n• Knowledge of and experience with ESH
nmanagement system elements, such as ISO
n14001/45001 and/or OSHA VPP; Lead auditor
ncertification a plus.
n• Experience authoring command media and
nprogram documentation.
n• Experience in change management and
nplanning activities as they relate to ESH
nintegration and considerations.
n• Demonstrated management experience and
noversight of budget elements, including both
noverhead and capital expenditures.
n• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black belt) or other continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge, including thorough root cause analysis and
nmistake-proofing processes.

nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
