Client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support our team in Goodfield, IL. This is a short-term contract role, ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in structural design and fluid routing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop structural components such as brackets and supports for agricultural machinery.
- Create and manage hydraulic and fertilizer routing systems, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, hydraulics, and systems engineering.
- Generate and maintain detailed CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Support prototype builds and resolve design-related issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in structural design and fluid routing (hydraulic/fertilizer systems).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
