Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Grant Writer at VACCEB located in San Leandro, CA. No consultant work available. The Grant Writer will be an important part of a team and responsible for grant administration, proposal writing, prospect research, grant writing, and fundraising to support the organization's mission and programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years specifically in grant writing and fund-raising as Lead.
  • Demonstrated Grant Administration and Grant Writing skills
  • Proven success in securing grants, sponsorships, and individual donations (e.g., 60%+ success rate)
  • Background in Proposal Writing and Fundraising experience
  • Expertise in Sourcing for funding opportunities
  • Existing network of funders highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt and handle competing and multiple deadlines
  • Experience working in non-profit organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, grantmakers, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.
  • Plan and coordinate diverse revenue-generating activities including galas, community events, on-line fundraising campaigns, and donor appreciation activities.
  • Represent VACCEB at networking events, community meetings, and with government officials to build partnerships and funding opportunities.
  • Work with program and finance teams to align funding needs with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals, reports, and funding documentation.
  • Monitor fundraising trends and adjust strategies to maximize results.
  • Maintain donor and stakeholder databases to track communications and relationships.
  • Support leadership with strategic planning and resource development.

Salary Range: $70K-$80K
