Miter
A Better Built World
At Miter, we're on a mission to help construction contractors build with confidence. If we're successful, we'll make it easier and faster to build critical physical infrastructure - roads, bridges, utilities, data centers, housing, etc.
For decades, construction and field services contractors have had to run their businesses on outdated software: clunky, on-premise systems created in the 1980s and 1990s.
That's where Miter comes in. We're using AI and embedded payments to rebuild the core HR, finance, and operations systems that underpin our physical economy. Using Miter, contractors like Marathon Electrical, W.J. O'Neil, and Truebeck Construction are building stronger teams, controlling job costs, and accelerating jobsite execution.
This idea is resonating. Since we launched in 2022, we've grown to thousands of customers and tens of millions in ARR, making us one of the fastest growing vertical software companies ever. To double-down on our momentum, we've raised $50M+ from top investors (Bessemer, Coatue, and Battery) who share our belief that we're just getting started.
About the Team & How We Work:
As an Account Executive at Miter, you will be at the frontline of our go-to-market engine. You'll be responsible for absorbing our growing inbound and partner lead volume, building direct relationships with specific channel partners, and establishing a repeatable, successful sales process to be followed by future hires. You'll also play a key role in building outbound pipeline - identifying high-potential accounts, running targeted outreach, and creating new opportunities from scratch. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern, industry-leading HCM products for the construction industry.
At Miter, we're not just selling software - we're helping the people who build America work smarter, faster, and with more confidence. As an Account Executive, you'll be at the center of that mission, closing deals that truly change the way contractors run their businesses.
You won't be handed a rigid playbook. You'll help write it. You'll join a high-ownership sales team where your ideas matter, your impact is visible, and your success helps shape how we go to market as we scale. You'll manage full-cycle deals with mid-market subcontractors, navigate complex buying processes, and build lasting relationships with channel partners that expand our reach across the industry.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment - someone who can build pipeline, close deals, and still zoom out to improve the process for the next person. You'll be supported by a team that values hustle, humility, and high standards - and you'll collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Leadership to evolve how we serve nearly 1,000 contractors and counting.
This is a hybrid role with 3 in-office days per week - Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday - in either our San Francisco or New York office.
What You'll Do:
Equal Opportunity:
Miter provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.
