Summary of Overall Job:
The Product Marketing Manager at e.Republic leads the strategic positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution for a portfolio of digital products, research solutions, and event programs designed for public-sector professionals across state, local, and education (SLED) markets. This role manages a small team of Product Marketing Specialists and collaborates cross-functionally with stakeholders in Sales and 3 Core Product Areas (Demand Gen Services, Subscription Services, and Events) to ensure our products are clearly differentiated and adopted by our target audiences.
This role blends deep product marketing expertise with team leadership, and is critical to driving product visibility, customer engagement, and revenue growth. You will also have direct responsibility for a product area.
Essential Duties:
Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution:
  • Own the end-to-end GTM strategy for assigned products and services, including Subscription Services (Industry Navigator, Industry Insider, Programs & Councils), Events (over 100!), Demand Generation Services (Content Studio, Smart Leads, Digital Marketing), Education Solutions, and other flagship brands.
  • Guide product marketing specialists in the execution of go-to-market plans and strategies.
  • Work with team to develop and implement launch plans for new offerings and feature enhancements, working closely with product, marketing ops, and sales enablement teams.
Positioning & Messaging:
  • Define and maintain clear, compelling value propositions, messaging frameworks, and competitive positioning for each product, leveraging robust internal resources.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent across all channels—web, email, sales decks, media kits, and event promos—and aligned with the voice of the brand.
Team Management & Leadership:
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 2–3 Product Marketing Specialists, helping them prioritize work, meet deadlines, and grow in their careers.
  • Provide creative and strategic direction while maintaining high standards for execution and accuracy.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team and across departments.
Sales Enablement & Internal Advocacy:
  • Create product collateral, customer case studies, one-pagers, and messaging guides to support sales and account management teams.
  • Work with sales enablement to deliver product training, pitch support, and “what’s new” updates to ensure customer-facing teams are equipped and confident.
Customer & Market Insights:
  • Collaborate with Market Intelligence and Research teams to understand customer needs, buyer personas, and market dynamics.
  • Gather feedback from internal teams and external clients to continuously refine positioning and product roadmaps.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5–7 years of experience in product marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or people management role.
  • Experience in media, data, events, or subscription-based business models.
  • Familiarity with state and local government, education systems, or public-sector technology trends.
  • Previous work with digital publishing, research tools, or B2B lead generation is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to develop positioning and GTM plans for complex B2B or information-based products.
  • Experience with marketing tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, SEMRush, and project management platforms like Asana..
  • Strong understanding of SLED or mission-driven markets is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for narrative and detail.
