Position Information: The Mobile Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in through paintless dent repair (PDR) processes. S/he will be responsible for quality and timely work performed.

• Successfully Maintain the following accountabilities
o Create opportunities for PDR appointments
o Complete PDR work assignments at all business units as assigned
o Map and present PDR estimate with every customer
o Timely customer follow-up and status communication
o Perform quality repairs in a timely and efficient manner
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet every customer, every day
• Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors
• Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards
• Maintain Thomas Automotive driving standards while traveling to locations
• Complete vehicle walkaround inspection with every customer
• Refer any additional services to Body Shop
• Communicate ASRs to customer
• Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs
• Repair damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with dealership specifications
• Using precision tools, ensure customer vehicle is repaired to specifications and customer satisfaction
• Remove appropriate trim and body panels to gain access for necessary repairs
• Ensure all assigned training is completed in a timely manner
• Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
• Verifies service contract coverage
• Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
• Follow up with customer calls where necessary
• Learn and understand new technologies and processes to maximize business opportunities
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards
Requirements
Qualifications: Valid driver's license in state of residence and good driving record. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles. Two years of experience as a vehicle body repairer or apprentice or job-related training.
Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding position. Will stand, crouch, and kneel six to eight hours per shift. Will travel in company provided vehicle. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
