Description:
nWe support the US Navy and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by performing trade studies, design prototyping, and analysis of radars, EO/IR sensors, seeker systems, electronic warfare systems, and weapon systems. We are seeking a junior radar systems modeling engineer to support the development and execution of radar and/or RF seeker simulations, add new capabilities to existing simulations, and deliver the simulations to both support internal analysis and as inclusion in deliverable simulations to our government customers and end-users. The engineer will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, demonstrating the capability to customers and stakeholders, and potentially leading a team of engineers and software developers to design and develop these simulation solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with experienced engineers and develop expertise in radar systems, electromagnetic modeling, and advanced signal processing.

nPay Rate: ($90/hr.-$100/hr. W2)
n? This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. nResponsibilities:
nThe candidate must be a US citizen and have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance.
nCandidates must possess at least a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
nMinimum of 8 years of experience
nFundamental knowledge of radar signal processing techniques and concepts
nExperience or coursework in sensor systems, electromagnetic theory, or digital signal processing (DSP)
nProficiency in MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and data analysis
nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
nAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
nExperience Requirements:
nExperience modeling radar systems that support MDA and Navy missions
nExperience performing radar system performance prediction, and data analysis
nFamiliarity with electronic attack and protection techniques
nStrong understanding of RF propagation
nFamiliarity with Python, C++, or Simulink for algorithm development
nGraduate-level coursework and/or hands-on project experience in radar systems and radar signal processing
nPrior experience with sensor HW design, signal processing, tracking algorithms, and/or resource management
nExperience in development of simulation tools and test tools for sensor analysis
nEducation Requirements:
nActive Secret or Top-Secret Clearance
nSkills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
