Job Description:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company to patients who visit for routine care or life-defining health insights. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully and safely drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while adhering to established protocols. This role involves direct patient interaction, where creating an atmosphere of trust and professionalism is key. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, maintains strict confidentiality, and practices process excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily responsibilities accurately and punctually under the area supervisor's direction
  • Maintain a professional and safe environment for all patients
  • Execute both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with confidence and precision
  • Maintain proper documentation and required records
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, staff, and the public
  • Ensure compliance with all practices, including patient verification and proper labeling procedures
Qualification:
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Flexible and available to meet staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic (Preferred)
  • Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; REQUIRED in CA, NV, and WA)
Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience (REQUIRED)
  • 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
  • Customer service experience in retail or service settings (Preferred)
  • Must have keyboard/data entry experience
