Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of experience in a dedicated open-heart unit, recovery of post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting, and experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drips titration, level 1 IABP, and ECMO.
License: RN License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred
Must-Have: Critical care certification, trauma course preferred
Description:
The Cardiovascular Surgical ICU is an 18-bed unit.
It provides care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, and the placement of ventricular assist devices.
Patients undergoing complex procedures are also treated in this unit.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2.
Trained nurses are required to work in a dedicated open-heart unit.
Candidates must have current experience in the recovery of post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting.
Skills in the management of ventilators, CRRT, Swan catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drips titration, level 1 IABP, and ECMO are essential.
BLS certification is required, while ACLS and critical care certification are preferred.
