Position Overview
Cumulus Media | (Kansas City) has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Media Account Executive with a digital focus. We are looking for a passionate, motivated, goal-oriented, and highly competitive individual with a proven track record of over-achieving sales goals in the digital/broadcast media landscape. Cumulus Digital gets results for over 4,000 clients per month and those results outpace the industry by an average of 25%. As an Integrated Marketing Account Executive for Cumulus, you will be responsible for aggressively pursuing online presence and audio advertising sales with local clients. The Integrated Media Account Executive will leverage Cumulus Media's world-class digital/audio solutions and your previous successful sales experience to exceed sales goals and help clients achieve their market goals. This position reports to the General Sales Manager and it offers hybrid work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities :
  • Work hands-on with the General Sales Manager to set and exceed sales goals.
  • Win digital and integrated media clients through new business development efforts including prospecting, cold calling, and scheduling face to face and virtual appointments with potential clients.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations with confidence.
  • Maintain productive client communication to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor competition to continually prospect new account leads.
  • Negotiate rates and ensure prompt payments.
  • Follow all station procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, submitting regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts, and competitive analysis using CRM software.
Qualifications :
  • 3-5+ years in media/digital sales required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms and CRM tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for developing new business relationships in an outside sales role
  • Enjoy presenting to clients of sales opportunities and post-sale successes
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects
  • Comprehension of sales metrics in order to fill a sales funnel and maintain a constant pipeline of new business
  • Self-motivating and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Positive and friendly with a willingness to collaborate
