Description:
Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regarding System Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the System Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).
Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with customer appropriate Poly
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Required Technical Skills:
- Experience with administering Linux or UNIX systems, including RedHat or CentOS
- Experience with configuring and updating firewalls and routers
- Experience with applying Operating System patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrading administrative tools and utilities
- Experience with providing support to IT systems, including day-to day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution of all of client server, storage, or network devices
- Experience with drafting technical requirements, engineering documents, configuration documents, training manuals, and troubleshooting processes, including updating as needed
- Knowledge of network/networking principles
- Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication
- Experience with Vertias NetBackup
Experience with Apache NiFi
Experience with cloud computing
Experience with analyzing and documenting system processes, build procedures and system infrastructure
Experience with automated configuration management
Experience with troubleshooting standard daemons and tools
Experience with Linux-related shell scripting
Experience with NiFi operations and administration
Experience with using WLANs and VLAN
Salary: $260,000.00 - $270,000.00 (Annually)
Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location.
