nGeneral Statement
nCulinary Services Division ( ( CSD ), a division of Auxiliary Services, provides meals and specialty beverages for over 18,000 customers daily and is an integral part of campus life and the overall college experience. CSD proudly provides Montana State University students with not only a repertoire of various cuisines, cooking styles, and flavors, but a comfortable atmosphere to meet friends, study, and simply relax. The division is comprised of 2 residential dining halls, a commissary kitchen, several retail operations including 4 coffee shops, Chick-fil-A, the Union Market and Bobcat Grill, Brick Breeden Fieldhouse and Bobcat Stadium Concessions, Fork in the Road food truck, MSU Catering, Indulge In-House Bakery, and the Farm to Campus Program.
nDuties and Responsibilities
nThe Custodian II is a working custodian who provides lead worker direction to a shift of Custodian I’s and student workers.

Assesses and organizes workload for a team of custodians

Conducts area inspections and reviews
n n - n
Assists with training staff as needed
n n - n
Maintains work equipment and supply inventory
n n - n
Performs a variety of administrative tasks to support the operation (review of timesheets, inventory, checklists etc)

Verbally addresses performance problems while reporting up any issues to the manager for possible disciplinary actions
n n - n
Performs daily custodial duties in any of the areas managed by the department
n n - n
And actively participates as a member of the team while performing other duties in support of the department’s mission.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Progressive work experience with commercial and/or industrial custodial work or an equivalent combination of relevant education and related experience.

Experience providing excellent customer service to a variety of individuals.
n n - n
Experience leading, directing and/or training staff.
n n - n
Experience coordinating work or organizing workload for a team.
n n

Certifications/classes related to custodial, sanitation, building maintenance, etc.

Experience using computers and various software packages with an emphasis on Microsoft Office programs.

Possess a 4-hour sanitation certification or have the ability to become certified.
