Job Overview:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to support and enhance the operational efficiency of our Information Technology Services department. This role will focus on managing existing processes and documentation, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation, and supporting the continuous enhancement of ITS workflows. The Process Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and leverage tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Power Apps to streamline processes and improve team effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain existing process documentation (including SOPs, workflows, swimlane diagrams, RACI matrices, SIPOC charts).
  • Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate existing processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze current workflows and recommend improvements.
  • Work within Jira and Confluence to document and manage processes, workflows, and tickets.
  • Assist in developing process maps and detailed procedural documentation to ensure consistent execution across teams.
  • Support process automation initiatives, especially leveraging Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint when applicable.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from team members and leadership to enhance processes for efficiency and usability.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to ensure processes align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and report on process effectiveness, identifying metrics to track ongoing improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3-6 years of experience in process engineering, business process improvement, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in process documentation and process analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar - certification a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for process and workflow management.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
  • Attention to detail in process mapping, writing documentation, and updating procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with Power Apps and SharePoint for workflow automation and collaboration.
  • Exposure to IT Services (ITS/IT Operations) environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and working in iterative, fast-paced settings.
  • Knowledge of automation tools or simple RPA (Robotic Process Automation) concepts.
