nThe Sign Design Engineer will be responsible for creating innovative and functional sign designs that meet client specifications and regulatory standards. This role involves collaborating with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive signage solutions that enhance brand visibility and accessibility.
nKey Responsibilities:
nDesign and develop signage concepts, including wayfinding systems, architectural signs, and digital displays.
nUtilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed drawings and specifications for sign production.
nConduct site surveys to assess environmental factors and determine optimal sign placement.
nCollaborate with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project goals and deadlines.
nEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to signage and accessibility.
nProvide technical support during the fabrication and installation processes, addressing any design-related issues.
nStay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into designs.
nPrepare and present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback into revisions as necessary.
nMaintain accurate documentation of design processes and project specifications.
nQualifications:
nBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
nProven experience in sign design or a related industry, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
nProficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite).
nStrong understanding of signage regulations, including ADA compliance and zoning laws.
nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
nPreferred Qualifications:
nExperience in project management or client-facing roles.
nKnowledge of materials and production processes used in sign fabrication.
nFamiliarity with 3D modeling software and rendering techniques.
