Job Description
The Senior Electrical Engineer will report directly into the Electrical Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Lead electrical design activities for embedded systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, and hardware integration.
- Develop and review hardware architecture for high-speed digital, analog, and power systems.
- Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis to ensure design robustness.
- Select and qualify components based on system requirements and reliability standards.
- Oversee design verification, validation testing, and support root cause analysis for hardware failures.
- Work closely with mechanical, systems, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, test plans, and design reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry and military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, IPC, RoHS, etc.).
- Participate in customer design reviews and provide technical support during proposal development.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably for defense-related electronics.
- Strong proficiency in circuit design, schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD), and simulation software (e.g., SPICE).
- Experience designing with FPGAs, microprocessors, power supplies, DDR memory, and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, USB, etc.).
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC best practices and environmental compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
