TheProgram Engineer is responsible for managing and executing all phases of product launch projects , from planning through production. This includes leading APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet customer and company expectations for quality, budget, and timing.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage project planning and timing milestones; coordinate resources and activities to support various forms of product launches.
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for assigned projects, ensuring synchronization of internal and customer timelines.
- Prepare, maintain, and track project plans that meet milestone, budget, and quality requirements.
- Communicate project status, issues, timelines, and action items to management and stakeholders regularly.
- Support customer needs through pilot builds, testing, run-at-rate events, and internal process sign-offs.
- Present project status at defined milestone reviews, including actionable solutions to keep projects on track.
- Monitor the product lifecycle to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and quality standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and drive project success.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and general business operations (sales, finance, purchasing, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
- Experience in interpreting and applying GD&T and knowledge of CAD programs.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and APQP processes (preferred).
- Understanding of financial statement analysis and modeling (preferred).
- Knowledge of large-scale, global project implementations is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive presentation capabilities.
