Quality Engineer Job Overview: Ensure the overall quality of machined parts by collaborating with the manufacturing team and solving quality-related issues. Test processes, monitor quality standards, create documentation, devise quality tests, and serve as the primary contact for inspection data submission.
You'll be a great fit if:
  • You can work as the primary customer contact for production process verification and assurance that products meet all requirements.
  • You can perform as a cross-functional team quality lead for Advanced Quality Planning activities, including developing Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, and Control Plans.
  • You can participate in gage program activities, including calibration, maintenance, and procurement, and develop gage plans and inspection documents.
  • You can work with manufacturing to ensure quality processes, minimize non-conformances, solve quality-related issues, and improve communication of requirements.
  • You can be responsible for corrective actions, risk assessments, and prevention activities to mitigate recurring non-conformances.
  • You can provide continuous improvement using Six Sigma methodology and data analysis.
  • You can support quality management system (QMS) activities, lead internal audits, and improvement activities.
  • You can perform other duties as assigned, including printing review, verification, and analysis (GD&T), internal QMS and production process auditing, Six Sigma continuous improvement, and travel as needed to support inspection, audits, and corrective action activities.

Requirements
To be considered you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 2-3 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Minitab for data analysis, statistical, and process improvement tools
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of quality management systems and strong ability to interpret drawings
  • Good understanding of the machining process
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support inspection, audits, and corrective action activities
  • Eagerness to learn and grow
