Our busy quick service restaurant is looking for a cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced atmosphere. We need someone to prepare food stations, cook a large volume of food, and ensure that all food safety and storage rules are followed. Our ideal applicant has prior food industry experience, preferably in fast food, quick service, or fast casual restaurants, as well as a willingness to learn. Responsibilities: • Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served • Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations • Control the grill and cook the food in accordance with the directions on the meal order slips or in verbal instructions • Stock ingredients needed for food items by washing, cutting, dicing, or slicing them as needed • Verify the temperature of cooked food using a thermometer to make sure it's safe to consume Qualifications: • Must have excellent time-management skills and be able to prioritize and multitask • Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements • We prefer some experience working in the fast food or quick service restaurant industry • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
