Job Description

- Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality n
- Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care. n
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments. n
- Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families. Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA. n
- Scribing notes for Practitioners n
- Front desk coverage includes registering and checking patients in/out, answering phones, scheduling appointments and checking insurance. n
- Other clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, faxing, prior authorizations, patient results phone calls, lab and surgical paperwork. n

- Strong customer service skills n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills n
- Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems n
- Excellent computer and phone skills n
Experience:

- Minor surgical procedure experience n

- Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated. n
- Dermatology experience is a plus. n
- Experience in MOHS assistance is a plus. n
- Experience with and knowledge of EMR. n
- Experience in assisting with minor surgical procedures. n
Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Required) n
Certifications/Licenses:

- Medical Assistant Certification (Preferred) n
