nnPosition Summary:
nWe are seeking a skilled Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer with a strong background in foundry operations to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to enhance our manufacturing processes, work with EH&S of key projects to enhance safety and environmental controls, improve product quality and drive innovation in our foundry operations.
nnKey Responsibilities:
n- n
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for foundry processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards. n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D, to optimize foundry operations. n
- Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting for existing foundry equipment and processes. n
- Implement and oversee process improvements, including material selection, casting techniques, and mold design. n
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and project plans. n
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including safety and environmental considerations. n
- Conduct tests and simulations to validate designs and improve manufacturing processes. n
- Provide technical support and training to foundry staff on equipment operation and maintenance. n
- Key lead on design and implementation of structural and facility upgrades and equipment installations. n
Qualifications:
n- n
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing / industrial engineering or a related field. n
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on foundry or manufacturing operations. n
- Strong knowledge of casting processes (sand casting, investment casting, etc.) and foundry equipment. n
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools. n
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. n
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. n
Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in manufacturing / industrial engineering or related field. n
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE). n
- Experience with quality control systems and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma). n
