What's your day like?
As a Full-Time Project Engineer at PTI Technologies, you'll oversee and manage all aspects of assigned aerospace projects, driving excellence from concept to completion. Your role involves collaborating closely with a skilled team of engineers and technicians to develop, design, and test innovative aerospace components, such as valves, filters, and hydraulic systems. You will handle project planning and budgeting, ensuring that each initiative aligns with established timelines and financial parameters.
Coordinating with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, you will guarantee compliance with industry standards. Additionally, your expertise will be integral in troubleshooting technical issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities encompass providing engineering solutions, preparing technical proposals, leading product design, and evaluating design changes.

Requirements for this Project Engineer job
To excel as a Full-Time Project Engineer at PTI Technologies, you'll need a blend of technical expertise and collaborative skills. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is essential, along with 5 to 10 years of experience in an aerospace design and manufacturing environment. Your role requires you to serve as a technical lead, guiding projects from initial proposal through design and production release.
Strong coordination skills are critical, as you'll work with Engineering, Test, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customers. Familiarity with FAA regulations and the AS9100 quality management system is crucial, along with an understanding of MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 qualification standards. Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic components is strongly preferred.
You should also be adept at reviewing customer specifications, creating Requirements Matrices, Source Control Drawings, and analyzing failures during qualification testing. These skills will ensure you navigate complex project demands and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
