Work week is 37.5 hrs. A great highlight in December is that Marshall University employees receive almost two weeks off for Winter Break! Holidays - Employees receive 13 Paid Holidays Annual and Sick Leave - Classified Staff, Non-Classified Staff and 12-month Faculty earn up to 24 days of annual leave per year (max 360 hours) and up to 18 days of sick leave per year. ) Employee Leave Health Insurance - Marshall University offers health insurance through West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA). There are seven (7) health benefit plans. Educational/Tuition Benefits - Marshall University provides tuition benefits to regular employees (after probationary period) and their dependent children. Job Description

The Graduate Student Recruiter plays a key role in attracting and engaging prospective graduate students through effective communication and strategic outreach. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of Marshall University's face-to-face and online graduate programs by connecting with prospective students and guiding them through the admissions and enrollment process.

The person in this position is responsible for implementing in-person and online recruitment strategies, representing the university at events (on campus, off campus and virtual), and assisting with administrative functions within the Graduate Admissions office.

This position requires travel to recruitment events, both local and out of state. Overnight travel is possible, although infrequent. Flexibility in scheduling to include occasional evening and weekend work required. A valid driver's license is required and must be eligible to enter into hotel and car rental agreements.

Individuals in this position are expected to meet stated performance standards and benchmarks, to achieve goals and expected outcomes in all areas.

Salary Range $35,568-$43,396 - Salary is commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and internal equity.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, communications, journalism, business, or a relevant discipline).

Experience

One to three years of professional experience in a role requiring strong communication, relationship-building or outreach skills (e.g., admissions, customer service, teaching, marketing, sales, event planning or community engagement), including relevant experience via graduate assistantship or internship.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

Master's degree

Experience

1-3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, academic or guidance counseling, or higher education, including relevant experience via graduate assistantship or internship.

Experience with digital communication and social media platforms.

Experience with software systems comparable to those used at Marshall University to recruit and retain students, such as Banner SIS or commonly used CRMs. Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred
