Job Purpose:
Performs setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Develops test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems, completes rework as needed, and prepares technical reports. Assists in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment. Responsibilities: Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Develop and determine test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams. Conduct sub-assembly and system-level functional testing and debugging to the component level. Troubleshoot rejected analog and digital assemblies down to the component level. Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions. Assist in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
Qualifications: At least 4 years of experience as an electronic test technician in manufacturing. Ability to follow established procedures and instructions, with occasional deviations. Proficiency in reading, understanding, and following test process instructions (TPIs). Availability for overtime and weekend work as required, in addition to a minimum of 40 hours/week.
Additional Requirements:
Perform testing and troubleshooting of production and field service returns. Demonstrate detailed root cause analysis troubleshooting skills. Evaluate and troubleshoot complex electromechanical instruments. Perform assembly and disassembly of electronic equipment using basic hand tools. Interpret schematics and drawings, perform modifications, and rework subassemblies and systems. Experience with oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies, and digital multimeters. Collaborate with engineers to improve test, assembly fixtures, tooling, and processes.
Salary and Benefits:
Annual salary range: $56,160 - $68,640 ($27 - $33/hour). Actual pay depends on experience, education, certifications, and skills.
