Cloud Security Engineer:
Procom is searching for a contractor Cloud Security Engineer on behalf of our technology client. This position is a fully remote opportunity.
Cloud Security Engineer - Job Description: Join the team to work in a cloud-native environment, focusing on managing Infrastructure-as-a-Service. You will be involved in developing security tools, automating tasks, and enhancing security measures across our platforms.
Cloud Security Engineer - Responsibilities: Work in a cloud-native environment utilizing Containerized Workloads, Serverless Architecture, and Automated CI/CD Pipelines. Perform scripting and coding to develop security tools and automate redundant tasks. Use Terraform to deploy security baseline controls, conduct code reviews, and provide security improvement recommendations. Build and deploy custom security tools to detect, report, and remediate infrastructure security vulnerabilities. Integrate log feeds into SIEM systems like Splunk and enable detective controls on critical security events. Participate in On-Call Support for security tickets and serve as a Security System SRE on a rotational basis. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement controls and processes addressing identified gaps. Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and incidents.
Cloud Security Engineer - Mandatory Skills: BS or equivalent with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in enterprise identity and security engineering. Strong experience in identity and access management technologies: SAML, OAuth/OAuth2, OpenID Connect, MFA mechanisms, SSO, OIDC. Experience with IAM stack products such as Okta, Ping Identity, Sailpoint, Active Directory, and LDAP. Strong understanding of cloud providers and their security technologies. Experience with programming and scripting languages (Python, Go, Terraform, GCP CLI). Experience with CI/CD Platform tools like Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, Artifactory, CircleCI. Deep technical expertise in public cloud environments like GCP, AWS, and Azure.
Cloud Security Engineer - Nice-to-Have Skills: Skilled in Java, Python, Go, and programming automation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience building scalable cloud security solutions. Solid grasp of data formats (JSON, YAML, XML). Problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
