Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. This hands-on role is responsible for operating and maintaining metal 3D printers (e.g., Laser Powder Bed Fusion), preparing builds, conducting post-processing, and performing quality checks. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and passionate about advanced manufacturing technologies. Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor metal 3D printers (e.g., EOS, SLM, or similar systems) Prepare build plates and set up print jobs according to engineering specifications Perform powder handling, part removal, and post-processing tasks (e.g., depowdering, support removal, surface finishing) Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality and adherence to aerospace standards Maintain accurate build logs, documentation, and equipment maintenance records Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot print defects and optimize processes Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, CNC machining, or precision manufacturing (aerospace experience preferred) Familiarity with metal additive manufacturing systems and post-processing techniques Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and build instructions Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Comfortable working in a production environment using PPE and handling metal powders High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred Preferred Experience: Experience with EOS, SLM, or similar LPBF systems Background in aerospace manufacturing or a regulated industry Knowledge of GD&T and quality inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
