Industry Biotechnology Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Clinical Development to spearhead the successful execution of our clinical development programs with a focus on rare diseases. As a vital member of our leadership team, you will shape, guide, and implement our clinical development strategies. Key responsibilities include: Developing and executing comprehensive clinical strategies. Leading a high-performing clinical development team across multiple programs. Overseeing the analysis and interpretation of clinical trial data. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key clinical stakeholders. Providing input into regulatory strategies and managing clinical studies. Ensuring compliance with good clinical practices and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will have: An MD with Board Certification preferred. At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry. A proven track record of guiding new medicines through all clinical development stages to approval, particularly in rare disease drug development. Exceptional strategic, execution, collaboration, and communication skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders. A thorough understanding of FDA regulations and a history of successful interactions with regulatory agencies. A results-oriented mindset combined with a positive attitude and commitment to integrity. Experience in translational medicine, clinical pharmacology, and early-stage development is advantageous. Previous experience coordinating with commercial and marketing teams to support product launches is a plus. You will be expected to travel less than 10% of the time.
