Not Your Average Everyday "Property Manager"

Part-Time | Self Storage | Maintenance + Management

Do you wake up dreading work? Tired of being micromanaged by people who couldn’t fix a paper jam? Ever feel like no one appreciates the fact that you're the one holding things together (literally and figuratively)? If you said "yes" while shaking your head.. keep reading.

This isn’t your cookie-cutter corporate job. Storaway is a fast-growing, privately-owned self storage company shaking things up in a booming industry. We’re not part of some massive, faceless BIG STORAGE machine.. we’re local, lean, and full of opportunity. We do things differently here.

And now,

we’re on the hunt for a

unicorn

:* someone who can fix a gate motor

and* rent a unit with a smile.

What We're Looking For:

A self-starter who’s not afraid to break a sweat during the day and can still bring the charm when it’s time to talk with customers. This is a hybrid role. We need someone who can roll up their sleeves on the property

and

take care of customers in the office.

What we DO want:

Character

Can do what Chuck Norris Can't

Self Motivated

Can troubleshoot cameras like you're diffusing a bomb

Read / Write / Drive / Math / All that fun stuff

Can sell Raid to a Roach

Replace wall packs, replace a board within a gate, patch a leaking roof, HVAC, etc

Light up a zoom call and crack jokes (HR appropriate I guess)

What we DO NOT want:

Someone that is comfortable

No drive

Wears socks to bed

Wants to play it safe

Scared of spiders and a hot summer day

Turns up the thermostat instead of putting on a jacket

No balance between office life and getting their hands dirty in the heat

Qualifications (The Boring but Necessary Stuff):

** Any and all maintenance certifications are a plus!

Experience in self storage, property maintenance, or facility management

Strong communication skills—verbal and written

Sales or customer service experience (bonus if you’ve done both)

Familiar with basic computer systems (we’ll train you on ours)

Able to work independently and stay organized

Clean background and valid driver's license

Reliable transportation (you might visit multiple properties occasionally)

What You'll Actually Be Doing:

Facility maintenance (roof leaks, cameras, gates, lights, hvac, etc.)

Cleaning and turning units between tenants

Renting units and helping customers with questions

Handling payments, bank runs, and delinquent accounts

Keeping the grounds and buildings clean and presentable

Monitoring and responding to security alerts

Representing our company with professionalism and personality

The Fine Print:

This is a

part-time

role with potential for more hours as we grow

You’ll need to be comfortable outdoors in various weather
