MRI Supervisor

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time MRI Supervisor for our Radiology Department. Under the direction of the Assistant Director and/or Radiology Director, is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all MRI activities. Trains and directs MRI staff to ensure the quality of services rendered is acceptable. Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all MRI orders. Performs wide variety MRI/MRA procedures to help diagnose physical and physiological disorders. Operates a variety of MRI scanners and applies a wide range of medical software and imaging techniques to produce anatomical and functional imaging. Adheres to established scanning protocols.Education:High School diploma or equivalent is requiredJunior College/Technical School is requiredARRT Certification in Radiography is requiredARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance is requiredWV Medical Imaging License is requiredCPR is requiredExperience:Minimum of 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience The kind of position-related experience includes: Good working knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, pathology, medical terminology, MRI physics and sequences, application software, MRI safety, and contrast indications and contraindications. Ability to skillfully operate MRI scanner and related patient support equipment as required. Adherence to established procedure protocols.Working knowledge of all MRI examinations, exam preps, and other information pertinent to placing orders and verifying appropriateness.This individual must be mature, responsible, and use initiative for independent judgment when necessary. The incumbent is required to have a high standard of medical ethics and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patient, employees, physicians, and the general public.
