You will be assisting patients directly with their injuries and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit.What you can expect from AFC:Competitive compensationHealth benefits (medical, dental, vision)401k planDisability and Life InsurancePTO (Paid Vacation)Selected Paid Federal HolidaysJoining a team at a time of growth and transformationMaking a positive impact on our communityA supportive and professional work environmentWe aim for a pleasant, synergetic, and transparent office culture where our providers and management believe that if our staff are happy, our patients will have a great experience as wellResponsibilities:Provide outstanding, empathetic, patient-centric careProduce high-quality patient X-ray films by applying knowledge of X-ray developing techniques and related medical proceduresCalibrationsAssist patients in and out of examination and/or X-ray rooms in an efficient mannerPosition patients for X-ray procedures on X-ray table by physically lifting and placing patients on the table with co-worker assistance as requiredMaintain, monitor, and order X-ray/medical supplies as neededPerform treatment room maintenance after each patient to include:Disposing of medical waste as required by OSHASterilizing instrumentsCleaning and sanitizing equipmentChanging table paper and pillowcaseSchedule routine maintenance for X-ray developer on a regular basisProvide copies of X-rays with appropriate documentation to insurance companies and attorneys as requestedReport equipment malfunctions to Center AdminMaintain daily record of completed X-rays and record in appropriate patient chartsArrange diagnostic tests with other physicians or radiologists as requestedAttend all required training seminars and staff meetings as requiredStock exam rooms and maintain suppliesSupport and perform other routine medical procedures and assist the Back Office team, including:Obtaining blood pressure measurementsDocumenting vital signs in EMRVision testingMUST BE WILLING TO HELP WITH MA DUTIES WHEN LOW XRAY DEMAND:Cross-trained to perform Front and Back Office dutiesAuthorizationsCheck in/outGreeting patientsAnswering phone calls as neededObtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical examExplain prescribed procedures and treatments to patientsEnsure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely mannerAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedureDraw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processingPerform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructionsRespond to all lab messages and call-back requestsPerform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulationsEnsure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedureConduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basisPrepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for proceduresMaintain complete and accurate documentationBe flexible in taking on other duties as assigned by Center Administrator or PhysiciansMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentCurrent licensure by the state of CaliforniaCurrent registration and certification with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART), or equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agencyIdeal Qualifications:Exceptional listening, interpersonal, and empathy skillsUnparalleled approach to customer care that results in consistently high levels of patient satisfaction, word-of-mouth referrals, and return visits over timeAbility to participate in a positive work environment for all staffCenter hours will be Mon-Fri 8 am-8 pm, . and Sat-Sun 8 am-5 pm.
