Job Title

Develop logic to test different functionalities in C++. For the nuclear power plant (NPP), the scope is to understand the requirements, develop the logic, and test the system to confirm the requirements are met. US Citizen Only. Individual must be willing to apply for security clearance [confirmed and documented in Good Person Letter] in support of US Government (USG) projects, particularly Department of Defense (DOD). Supplier and individual selection preference based on capability of: Interface with staff performing similar work Non-GEH work for resource load balancing Main work location 6 hour drive from Wilmington, NC Ability to work from home office compliant with USG Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or DOD Covered Defense Information (CDI) Quarterly travel to Wilmington, NC for 5 days Job Functions: Develop and apply control technologies to nuclear power plant (NPP) in C++ Develop and apply graphics screens to nuclear power plant (NPP) in C++ or something similar Collaborate with design engineers of various disciplines to surface control system requirements and drive equipment requirements for controllability Write, test, and develop requirements for application code Be accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards Lead software reviews with Control Title Holders Support Engineering Services field personnel in technical resolution of field problems Provide assistance with quality assurance on projects Review and interpret customer specifications Collaborate with GEH Nuclear subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand, comply with, implement, and comprehensively document project requirements, guidance, designs, and results. Work shall be performed compliant with GEH Quality Assurance Program (QAP) including associated procedures, work instructions, guides, templates, checklists, etc. Work Experience: Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent with 5+ years of experience Design work experience in C++ Design experience in developing software from a list of high level requirements Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills in a complex environment Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, written, graphical, and verbal Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work in a creative, diverse, dynamic team environment.
