Job Summary:
As an Activities Assistant CNA, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of activity programs in the facility. You will observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement to assess their progress, involve residents and their families in the planning process, and participate in community planning related to facility interests and resident needs. Additionally, you will follow activity policies and procedures, provide supervision for the volunteer program, and assist other staff as needed.
Responsibilities: - Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs - Observe and assess resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement - Involve residents and their families in the planning process - Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information - Participate in community planning related to facility interests and resident needs - Implement activity policies and procedures as directed by the Activity Director - Involve residents and their families in planning objectives and goals - Provide supervision for the volunteer program - Assist other staff as needed
Qualifications: - Previous experience with activities, preferably in a healthcare setting - Good communication skills and ability to interact well with others - Certified Nursing Assistant required
Education and Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent preferred - Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred

This is a full-time position that includes some weekends.
