HR Data Analyst

With minimal supervision, the HR Data Analyst leverages their expertise to investigate, develop, and deliver HR reports and analytics. They possess a strong understanding of HR systems and data structures, enabling them to identify opportunities for efficiency and data quality improvements. This is achieved through close collaboration with end users, management, and technical teams. The analyst is responsible for gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, and overseeing the development, testing, and deployment of reporting and analytics tools. By applying both technical acumen and a deep understanding of HR business processes, they continuously enhance the accuracy and value of HR data. Additionally, the HR Data Analyst utilizes statistical methods and modern data tools to uncover insights and present actionable intelligence. These insights support leaders, managers, and program stakeholders in making informed, data-driven decisions about their workforce. Key Accountabilities include: Responsible for HR data operations by managing data administration, conducting end-to-end analysis, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather data requirements, interpret findings using statistical methods, and present actionable insights through reports and visualizations. Focuses on enhancing data usability and exploring automation to streamline reporting and analytics workflows. Design and maintain scalable, repeatable procedures for generating and managing HR data to ensure consistency and efficiency. Leverage deep knowledge of HR and business processes to create insightful reports and dashboards that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions. Perform comprehensive system administration tasks, including report/dashboard management, user access control, configuration updates, and data stewardship. Lead ongoing data integrity audits, identify and resolve data quality issues, and manage data cleansing initiatives to maintain high standards of accuracy. Provide HR data expertise throughout the lifecycle of vendor solution deployments, including design, testing, implementation, and post-production support. Evaluate incoming data/reporting requests, assess feasibility and impact, and communicate status updates and potential issues to stakeholders. Analyze the implications of data-related change requests, ensuring they are relevant, impactful, and aligned with business needs before implementation. Investigate data anomalies and system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to restore expected functionality. Serve as a key internal resource on HR data capabilities, system functionality, and best practices in data management and reporting. Review new reporting requests against existing assets to promote reuse and avoid duplication, ensuring efficient use of resources. Act as the primary point of contact for all HR reporting needs, supporting both internal and external customers with timely and accurate data solutions. Stay aligned with evolving HR systems and processes, proactively adjusting data models and calculations to reflect organizational changes. Contribute to change management efforts by communicating updates, delivering training, and creating documentation to support user adoption and understanding. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in HR data administration, analytics, and application support. Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support collaborative data initiatives. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and expanding expertise in HR data and analytics. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the HR function. Experience/Education includes: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or Human Resources and/or field relevant certifications preferred. In lieu of Statistic related or Human Resources degrees and/or certifications, under-graduate degrees and/or certifications in other fields may be considered in conjunction with equivalent work experience. 8 years of combined experience in HR and Analyst required. This includes 3-5+ years of Human Resource experience, as well as 2+ years' experience analyzing data to produce reports and insights. Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, configure, implement & support HR data, processes and technology. Experience on multiple, concurrent projects that have enterprise-wide impact and require subject matter expertise of data usage and outputs. Practiced with leading groups or teams to collaborate, facilitate, and coordinate improvements involving data reporting and/or analytics. Certifications/Licenses are a plus.
