Role: DB2 Database Administrator Location: Clayton, MO Duration: 6+ Months Required Skills: Database Administration, DB2, Linux, Unix, Windows Job Description: Knowledge on core concepts of DB2 LUW. L2 L32

Extensive experience with planning, documenting and performing upgrades and migration, setting up new database environments.

Experience in problem analysis and troubleshooting database related issues.

Provide performance tuning support to development teams for resolving issues with space usage, stored procedures, SQL Tuning and application monitoring.

Analyze and tune SQL statements and indexes; make performance recommendations to development teams.

Understand metadata, metrics, trending, and automation.

Advanced scripting skills required.

Advise developers for best practice, rollout implementation support.

Work with vendor for tuning recommendations.

Implement fixpacks and security patches when required.

Participate in disaster recovery exercises.

Knowledge on DB2 HADR, HACMP. Qreplication knowledge is preffered.

Monitor production databases and dbm settings, adjusting for optimal performance and throughput.

Configure DB2 Connect Server and Client, and install ODBC drivers.

(2.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases

(3.) To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.

(4.) To independently resolve tickets & esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.

(5.) To provide support for on call escalations /L3 level support and doing incident & problem management (6.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
