JOB SUMMARY:
Determines and develops media relations and content strategies for Women's Basketball and oversight of communications of other sports. Provides content development for digital platforms, and leads and instructs student assistants. Works closely with coaches and staff to provide recruiting assistance through digital channels. Travel with assigned sports as necessary.
JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - Primary Communications and Content Strategy Contact for Women's Basketball
Managing communications responsibilities and developing content strategies in conjunction with other external units for the women's basketball program. Develop key relationships within the staff and teams to help drive team narrative. Provide content development and strategy for promotion of the program through traditional and digital media, maintain website. Write/design/edit media guides, game notes, press releases and coordinate compilation and organization of statistics and historical records.
20% - Essential - Additional Sport Communications Oversight (Lacrosse, Track & Field)
Oversight of communications responsibilities for Olympic sports as assigned. Direct management and mentorship of Graduate Assistants assigned to these sports; Develop key relationships within the staff and teams to help drive team narrative. Provide content strategy for promotion of the programs through traditional and digital media, maintain website and stats/historical records.
10% - Essential - Content Strategy and Development (Website/App)
Works with the Sr. Assoc. AD of Communications to develop unique content and delivery strategies to promote Clemson Athletics, including serving as a liaison on website and app development in conjunction with Clemson Ventures.
10% - Essential - Communications Training and Development
Prepares and trains graduate assistants and student assistants for careers in athletic communications. Provides training and guidance to coaches and student-athletes for interactions with media, use of social media and overall brand responsibility.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - 1+ years
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree - Communications, content strategy, athletics, or similar field.

Compensation Information
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
