Detailed job description includes complete proper documentation, perform medical procedures, perform primary and secondary physical assessments, safely operate an emergency response vehicle, teach or assist in in-service and public education programs, triage and treat victims, and complete unit/department specific duties. Required qualifications include Paramedic (EMT-P or EMT-CP) licensure by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and chauffeur driver license; class E or higher for Missouri residents. Preferred qualifications include one (1) year of paramedic experience and additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. Physical demands include ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs, contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses, and rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather.
