Senior Network Security Engineer

FreedomRoads, LLC (Camping World & Good Sam) has a full-time opening for a Senior Network Security Engineer in Lincolnshire, IL. Duties are to design and deploy Palo Alto firewall solutions to protect our network infrastructure against emerging security threats. Develop and implement firewall policies, rules, and configurations to maintain network security and compliance with industry standards. Assist in developing a segmentation strategy which will ensure security and compliance for the business and avoid disruption to operations. Perform firewall capacity planning and optimization to meet the organization's evolving needs. Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and incidents. Troubleshoot complex firewall issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide effective solutions. Conduct regular security assessments and audits of firewall systems, recommending and implementing improvements as needed. Stay up to date with the latest network security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices, and propose proactive measures to enhance network security. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years experience as a Network engineer, Security Engineer, or any occupation in which experience was gained. Specific skill sets: 5 years of experience utilizing Palo Alto firewall platforms, including configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting. 5 years of experience in network protocols, routing, switching, and VPN technologies. 5 years of experience with network security principles, including IDS/IPS, SSL decryption, VPN technologies, and access control mechanisms. 5 years of experience with network security tools, vulnerability scanners, and log management systems. 5 years of experience designing and implementing secure network architectures. 5 years of experience communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Remote work benefit available- Employee can work from anywhere in the U.S. General compensation disclosure the pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
