The Receiving Lead at FreezPak Logistics is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the receipt of goods in our cold storage facility. This role ensures the accurate and timely receipt of products, proper documentation, and the organization of goods within the warehouse. The Receiving Lead will manage a team of warehouse associates and work closely with other departments to maintain efficient and effective operations.

What You'll Do

Supervise Receiving Operations:

Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantities, condition, and documentation. Team Leadership:

Direct and support a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Inventory Management:

Ensure proper storage and organization of received goods in designated areas, following FIFO (First In, First Out) protocols. Documentation:

Verify and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and inventory logs. Quality Control:

Inspect incoming goods for quality, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or damages. Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and practices within the receiving area, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Collaboration:

Coordinate with other departments, such as Shipping, Inventory, and Quality Assurance, to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve any issues related to receiving discrepancies, damaged goods, or delays in shipments. Reporting:

Provide regular reports to the Warehouse Manager on receiving activities, inventory levels, and any operational challenges. What You Bring to the Pak

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role. Knowledge:

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and receiving processes. Experience in cold storage is a plus. Skills:

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications. Certification:

Forklift certification is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). This position operates in a cold storage environment, with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 35°F. The Receiving Lead may be required to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs. Benefits

Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

This pay range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the starting hourly compensation for this role at the time of posting. The actual rate will be determined based on a combination of factors including experience, qualifications, work location, and internal pay alignment, in accordance with applicable laws.
