CNC Operator

Job Description:*Title: CNC Operator**Location: Grand Rapids MI**Salary: Starting pay up to $22 per hour**Shift: 4 x 10's plus 10 hours overtime available every week**Start Date: Immediate Hire! Start tomorrow!**Responsibilities:*The successful candidate will work in a CNC work cell consisting of two 5 x 12 nested base routers. Candidate will operate the cell with a team member. It will also be expected that operator learns additional equipment and production tasks in order to move with the flow of the production work load. It is expected that the equipment be well maintained and taken care off. They will also be expected to trouble shoot machine issues that may arise. The operator will monitor tooling needs, submitting tooling purchase request, and send out tooling to be sharpened. They must maintain their work area, machinery, and tools in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion and assist in other work areas when the workload permits or as required.*Qualifications:*Experience working with CNC routers.Knowledge of toolingExperience conducting routine PM tasksFamiliarity with G code and other software experience with Alphacam or Fanuc controls a plusExperience working with wood panels, plastic laminates, and veneers is a plusAbility to read prints and verify components are correctAbility to safely load raw materials onto machine bed without damageAbility to monitor quality of work using prints, tolerances, and various measuring devices.Ability to take direction and follow instructions given by supervisorsAbility to work both individually and in team settingsAbility to lift at least 50-100 poundsAbility to work overtime as required*Additional Requirements:*Positive attitudeSelf-motivated with minimal supervisionStrong work ethicValid drivers license is a plus*Benefits Offered:*HealthcareShort and long-term disabilityLife insuranceMatching IRA contributionsPaid time off and holidaysSalary commensurate with experience and expertise Salary Package: $ None - 22.00 (US Dollar)
