If you want to work with the most talented people on Earth furthering space exploration for humanity, come join us.Vast is looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician, reporting to the Supervisor of Additive Manufacturing, to work with Vast's growing inventory of additive machines. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment, as well as part post-processing and quality control. This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.Shift Schedule: First Shift: 6am-3pmSecond Shift: 2pm-11pmResponsibilities: Setting up AM print jobs, verifying machine settings against best practices, overseeing the print process and quality as the machine operatesSafely handling the metal powder before and after the build, includes sieving, loading, part de-powdering, measuring, and safe storageKeep a clean, organized, and thoroughly maintained work spaceDevelop and implement process efficiency improvement projectsIndependently perform verifications and document results in a clear, precise, and complete mannerOperate post processing equipment such as drills, handheld grinders and CNC machines as requiredPerform preventive routine maintenance on the machines and troubleshooting manufacturing hardwareMinimum Qualifications:High school degree, equivalency certificate, or equivalent work experience1+ years of manufacturing experience1+ years Additive manufacturing experience (Laser Powder Bed Fusion)Preferred Skills & Experience:Excellent communication skillsAbility to read, interpret and work from drawings, controlled documentation and processes such as: assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts listExperience working in the military or at an aerospace manufacturing company (spacecraft, aircraft, etc.)Experience driving engagement with others, taking initiative, and helping push the team to new levelsExperience with metal powders is a plusAdditional Requirements:Able to lift up to 50 lbsWilling to work overtime and weekends when necessaryPay Range: Additive Manufacturing Technician I: $23.00 - $30.00Additive Manufacturing Technician II: $28.00 - $35.00Additive Manufacturing Technician III: $33.00 - $45.00Salary Range: California$23-$45 USDCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSBase salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
