DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse
Location: Great Falls, MT 59405
Department: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Employment Type: 13 weeks Full-Time / Contract
Shift: Days, 3x12s
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Provide direct patient care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients , including those requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
- Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as:
- Central lines (including A-lines)
- Multiple IVs
- Balloon pumps
- Impella devices
- Mechanical ventilation
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Deliver patient-centered care from admission through discharge , including discharge planning.
- Care for general medical and surgical patients in the inpatient unit as needed.
- Step into leadership roles when required, including precepting new staff and providing direction to multidisciplinary team members (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Housekeeping, and Dietary staff).
- Collaborate closely with Providers, Charge Nurses, Acute Care Director, and Chief Nursing Officer.
- Float to PCU or Med-Surg units if CVICU/ICU patients are not present.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Proficient in operating advanced cardiovascular and respiratory support equipment
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Leadership experience or prior precepting preferred
