JOB SUMMARY:

n

The Project Engineer will support the capital expansion projects team on a variety of projects ranging from maintenance and improvements of existing production facilities to design and construction of new ones. This position will be involved with projects from conception through completion and be responsible for delivering key sections of the projects on time and within budget while meeting all technical and quality standards. The project engineer will be responsible for designing processes, developing control logic, establishing equipment and facility requirements, and reviewing and technically vetting quotes from contractors and equipment vendors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects by providing technical support and coordinating project activities.
  • n
  • Ensure that projects are performed safely and that project deliverables result in a safe working area for all personnel.
  • n
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications, progress reports, and quality control records.
  • n
  • Analyze project data, identify potential issues, and provide solutions to improve project efficiency and quality.
  • n
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet the required technical standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.
  • n
  • Assist in the selection, evaluation, and coordination with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment for projects.
  • n
  • Monitor project schedules and report any deviations or delays to senior management to ensure timely delivery.
  • n
  • Assist in developing design packages including piping and instrumentation diagrams, piping isometrics, plot plan layouts, startup and commissioning procedures, operating procedures, etc.
  • n
  • Review controls and automation logic.
  • n
  • Willingness to travel as required. Estimated 10-25% annually during work-week.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

n
    n
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
  • n
  • 2 or more years working in an industrial chemical production environment, advanced manufacturing, or related field.
  • n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
  • n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • n
  • Familiarity with equipment used in chemical production processes.
  • n
  • Familiarity with the basic principles of control systems and industrial automation.
  • n
  • Experience with basic project management principles.
  • n
n

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

n
    n
  • 5 or more years of experience in an industrial chemical production environment or related field.
  • n
  • Direct experience in design, construction, maintenance, or operation of chemical production facilities.
  • n
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplined projects.
  • n
  • Project management certification.
  • n
n

Licensing & Special Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work is performed within Tidal Visions warehouse. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on-site.
