Senior Student Account Services Analyst

Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) - Student Account Services, the Senior Student Account Services Analyst oversees processes and performs student account transactions, managing student financial records and ensuring compliance with financial aid regulations to warrant effective management of CCC's student financial accounting operations. Performs related duties as required. Essential Duties Oversees the review and reconciliation of unapplied credits posted to student accounts

Works with the Business Office, Financial Aid, and other stakeholders to identify funds credited to students' account but not applied or posted to charges. Reviews transactions and makes appropriate corrections to reconcile student accounts.

Manages the institutional incentive programs Fresh Start Debt Forgiveness Program

Reviews student records and financial data on PeopleSoft to determine student eligibility per program's guidelines and requirements. Prepares various reports to document findings and determination of eligibility. Posts waivers to accounts of students eligible for debt forgiveness.

Works with college Business Offices and Student Finance team with reconciling all transactions on the student accounts charges and payments

Supports account reconciliation functions performed at the Business Office level. Runs queries and ensures that payments are applied to correct term/semester and that tuition and applicable charges are correctly applied to students' accounts. Reverses and reapplies payments and changes as necessary. Assists Finance with ensuring transactions are reconciles with the General Ledger.

Monitors the implementation of accounting policies and procedures across the district. Plans, develops, and implements new and revised systems and procedures. Works with staff in the development, documentation, implementation and communication of policies and procedures pursuant to departmental responsibilities. Actively serves as a member of various committees and boards to advise and assist with project development and implementation. Represents the District Office at meetings, seminars, and workshops conducted by various federal and state agencies. Participates and serves on various internal committees as required. Performs related duties as required. Reporting Relationships Reports To Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) - Student Financial Account Services Direct Supervision None Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Public or Business Administration, or a related field Three years of work experience in higher education in areas of student accounts, accounts receivables, accounting, or business office An equivalent combination of training and experience may be taken into consideration Familiarity with PeopleSoft (PS) Financials highly desirable Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) with advanced knowledge of Excel Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
