Pediatric Neurosciences Case Manager
Pediatric Neurosciences Case Manager Schedule: FT - Days Monday - Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm Hospital: Ascension Dell Children's - Specialty Pavilion Location: Austin, TX Benefits include paid time off, various health insurance options, retirement benefits, disability coverage, employee assistance programs, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and community service opportunities. Responsibilities include: Obtaining and recording authorizations for ancillary services and denial reporting. Facilitating, identifying, and documenting all referrals, along with patient choice, to appropriate facilities or agencies. Expediting discharges by transmitting appropriate documentation to providers for acceptance of patient. Documenting all interactions with payers and communicating status with appropriate staff. Communicating status with case management staff and arranging for patient transfer. Functioning as a key point of contact between case management staff, admissions, and payers. Requirements include: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. Additional preferences include: Medical office background. Medical terminology knowledge. Knowledge of insurance payers, billing, and/or coding experience. Experience with prior authorizations.
