Bartenders take a hands-on approach to ensuring guests' expectations are not just met, but exceeded. We're known for a lively good time and authentic Irish classics served up alongside Lenox favorites. Whenever you amble through our doors, you'll find us spirited as ever - so sit and stay a while! The Irving at The Lenox. Our intimate lobby cocktail bar, The Irving cultivates a sense of intrigue and ambiance, harkening back to the heyday of our turn-of-the-century opening. Step inside, and our love for creating well-crafted cocktails becomes instantly apparent. Willow & Ivy. Helmed by The Lenox's Executive Chef Daniel Kenney, Wil-low & Ivy will offer a fresh take on New England-inspired American cuisine. Key Responsibilities: Assist with greeting guests, creating a great first impression for the dining experience. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following standard recipes Completion of all opening and closing side work. Ability to provide detailed descriptions of all menu items, assisting with pairings, while ensuring accurate orders are taken. Provide the highest service standards possible to all guests. Full knowledge and descriptions of all wines, beers, and cocktails, and be able to make recommendations. Service of cocktails, wine and champagne in accordance with safe alcohol service standards. Maintain the cleanliness of server stations and equipment. Meet and exceed all guest requests and expectations with a professional attitude. Keep and restock bar throughout the evening. Adhering to the proper cash handling procedure including tip reporting, due backs, and bank.
Qualifications
- At least one year's experience as a bartender or server in a restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits and mixology - Strong guest service skills with the ability to respectfully engage - Knowledge of retail math for handling transactions accurately - Familiarity with banquet or catering services is a plus
- Knowledge of Toast or similar POS system a plus - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Multi-lingual a plus.
-Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
