Pharmacy Services - Inpatient Pharmacist
Full-time, Monday - Friday at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities include assuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders in specialized areas, serving as a subject matter expert in pharmacy discipline, reviewing and assessing medication orders, recommending formulary alternatives, compounding and dispensing medications, communicating with physicians and other clinicians, overseeing technical personnel, assisting with academic functions, and providing patient counseling. Requirements include licensure from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy. Additional preferences include 3-5 years of IV room experience and board certification in sterile compounding (BCSCP). Additional schedule details include Mon-Fri, mostly days with some evenings, every 6th weekend staffing, and a rotating holiday commitment (1 minor/major holiday per year).
