The Staten Island YMCA Counseling Service is seeking a Nurse who will work under the Medical Director and Program Clinical Supervisors to provide health services, including assessments and follow-up interventions, to clients requiring medical assessment by the Medical Director. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct health screenings and assessments, facilitating any necessary referrals and follow-ups. Administer, under prescriber direction, long-acting, injectable medications. Administer, under the direction of the Medical Director, appropriate on-site testing and follow up on results. Follow up with clients regarding health-related testing results and work with clients to facilitate any necessary referrals. Track clients receiving program-prescribed medications to ensure continuity of care and medication administration in the appropriate timeframes. Track referrals made and follow up with clients to assist with navigation and access to resources. Provide training and/or seminars to staff and clients as needed. Complete all required documentation. Maintain compliance with the scope of practice, program policies and procedures, and all relevant regulations, guidelines, and laws. Perform other duties as required. Desired Skills & Experience:
Associate's degree in Nursing required. One (1) to three (3) years of nursing experience required. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse. Ability to administer injectable medications.
