Counselor Position At Keystone Treatment Center
We are looking to add a compassionate Counselor to our team! Keystone Treatment Center is a 126 Bed Treatment Center providing services to adults on an inpatient basis. Our IOP location is in Sioux Falls, SD & just a short drive away is our main campus located in Canton, SD. Established in 1973, Keystone Treatment Center has excelled in providing comprehensive individualized care for individuals who are suffering with Chemical Dependency, Compulsive Gambling and Co-occurring Mental Health Conditions. Join a team with defined career paths and a national family of hospitals and facilities Shifts and Hours: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 to 8:30pm Thursday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm Training and Orientation: Keystone Treatment Center is committed to Training and Safety. All New Hire Medication Aides will attend a 2 Day Facility Orientation and Patient Treatment Program Overview before spending 2 Weeks in Unit Orientation with a Preceptor. We can accommodate shadow shifts for interested candidates! Essential Functions: The ideal candidate will have knowledge and ability in all the 12 core functions of substance abuse counseling. They must have the ability to do one on ones, give lectures, and run groups, completing assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning. Must be able to handle crisis well. Flexible multitasking necessary. The position requires the person to work flexible hours, days, some evenings and rotating weekends. Must have the needed coursework to certify or license as an addiction counselor in the state of SD. If possible - include your transcript with your application. Applicant must have experience working with adolescents with legal involvement and substance use issues. Experience with juvenile probation and alternative education are preferred. The position is a Non-Exempt (hourly), Full Time position which offers 8 paid holidays along with vacation, personal, and sick benefits.
